A week passed. Kuromaru continued to visit Olive in her dreams, and the two exchanged what they knew of the killer and where he resided. Olive told the Zangoose all she had experienced, including meeting Blackie and Zan and how Kay was possessed. Kuromaru had less information about what the killer had done, but more on who he was.
“I believe he has some sort of accomplice,” Kuromaru said one night, “Someone who is able to invade the minds of others and block powerful creatures from finding him.”
“That sounds like what Kay and Cresselia told me!” Olive exclaimed.
So the two began to trust each other, and every time Olive and Kuromaru met, more about the killer was discovered, and Olive was eager to share the information with her friends. Blackie was always skeptical, but Olive thought it was forced. Sky, however, always seemed very impressed.
All was not well, however. Zan and Trauma were still nowhere to be found. The team feared the worst, but Olive felt confident that Kuromaru could help her.
“What if Zan and Trauma are dead by now?!” Kay worried.
But Olive shook her head. “Then why did the killer- if it was the killer- take them? No, I think they’re alive. And we’re going to find them.”
Blackie remained in Darkness Ridge most of the time, thinking.
“Zan…. You can’t be dead…. Not after everything we’ve been through….”

It happened in the depths of the night.
Kay was sleeping soundly in her bed at Energetic Forest, dreaming about sweet things like new missions and the picnics she planned that usually spawned disaster. But her current dream, involving herself rescuing a lost Pidgey while looking very heroic and eating a muffin, began to twist and turn. It distorted itself into a mass of black until the dream version of Kay found herself in the spotlight of that dark cave again. The two beings were there, standing over her, while she agreed to help them. Things became a little clearer this time, however, and Kay remembered a bit more about the appearance of these two. One was quite tall, with bright fur and long claws. The other, though, was shorter, and seemed to have more than just four limbs. Their eyes remained closed most of the time, but they were brilliant eyes, she could tell….
“Oy! Amigo! Are you awake?”
Aroused from her troubling dream by a familiar voice, Kay lifted her head. Pelliper was gentling poking her with one wing. “There’s trouble afoot, mate.”
“What is it….” Kay mumbled. “I already saved that Pidgey, what more do you want?”
Pelliper pointed in the direction of the dungeons. “There’s been a huge avalanche at Mt. Freeze. Dunno what caused it, but there’s a huge load of Pokemon trapped and freezing in there. I was sent to come get you lot.”
“Nya… Why didn’t you just get Olive for this?”
Pelliper shrugged. “She wouldn’t wake up. Sleeping like a log, she was. You’re sort of a second-in-command, right? So I thought you could lead.”
Kay yawned and stretched. “Ugh… Olive, that lazy lump… All right, I’ll get Sky and Zoe and we’ll all go save the day and whatnot. Geez, I thought we were done with these weird disasters…”
“We’re counting on you.” Pelliper flapped his wings and took off into the night.

The three rescuers went to work quickly, saving the countless Pokemon trapped under the snows. The team got the help of a friendly Magmar named Igno who had somehow gotten himself stuck there on Mt. Freeze, despite the fact that he was a fire-type. Kay and Zoe were busy digging for the injured creatures while utilizing Igno’s Flamethrower attack, but Sky was off to the side, thinking he heard something. A cry for help?
Sky listened hard for the muffled call, and was eventually able to trace it to a young Snorunt who had become lodged under a boulder of ice. “Don’t worry. I’ll get you out.” Sky said soothingly, and used his SonicBoom to split the boulder in half so he could push it off the helpless Pokemon.
“Th-thanks, mister.” The Snorunt said once she was free. “Have you…. Seen my mom and dad?”
“I might have.” Sky mused, “What species are they?”
The Snorunt shivered. “Mom is a Froslass and Daddy is a Golem.”
Sky thought for a moment. “Y’know, I think I saw Kay helping out a Froslass a while back. She had a nick in one of those crystal things on her head.”
“That’s MOM!” The Snorunt cried excitedly, and she scampered off.
Sky smiled, feeling pleased with himself at being a hero. It was a very nice feeling. He was about to head back in Kay and Zoe’s direction when something caught his eye.
It looked like a diary, halfway buried in the snow. His curiosity getting the better of him, Sky picked up the thing and studied the cover. It had become quite soggy, so the name at the front was obscured, but he could make out a child’s drawing underneath the nameplate. Two figures were shown. One had a square for a body, a circle for a head, and two triangles for ears, with two stubby feet. The other had a circular body and four legs, with oval-shaped ears and what appeared to be two sticks extending from it’s back.
The majority of the pages were soaked through as well, but Sky opened to the first legible one and began to read.
What lay within the book drew him in so far that he forgot all about his mission….

So.
Once again, I'm not happy with my writing here, but that's probably because it's another chapter that I had to force myself to write.
BUT THAT ALL CHANGES.... NEXT TIME.
Yes, all the chapters from now on should be very fun for me to write. The reason? By my calculations, there are only four remaining. 8D
The Foreboding Wind begins to draw to it's close, starting with the secrets that will be revealed in the following chapter....
Writing (c) Me
Pokemon (c) Nintendo
(Btw, I sort of imagined Pelliper with a slight British accent. I dunno why.)
